WHEN: Sunday, July 21

5704 Marlin Road Unit 6000
COST: $200
Join Chef Kenyatta Ashford and photojournalist Lyric Lewin for a cooking and photography workshop on July 21, 2024. Tickets are limited to 10.
The class will start with a welcome drink and a few snacks so folks can get to know one another before diving into a brief photography lesson, followed by hands-on learning.
We will celebrate the summer season by learning how to make handmade pasta and two different sauces. After participants make and roll the pasta dough they will create a bright and fresh tomato sauce followed by a pine-nut pesto.
The class will then learn how to incorporate lighting, composition, color theory and perspective into creating a food-image. We will have one portion of the class working with styling ingredients with a studio-style lightbox, followed by a more photojournalistic style of training by taking images of the action in the kitchen.
Bring your DSLR or your smartphone and Lyric will assist with technical questions as well as help guide you towards unlocking your creativity. This class is for beginners, but will accommodate all skill levels. The ticket price will include a welcome beverage, all the ingredients for your pasta, sauces as well as photography and cooking lessons.
