Autumn Equinox Food Photography Class
$150 a person | 10 people total
Join photojournalist Lyric Lewin in a food photography pop-up class on the afternoon of the autumn equinox, September 23rd from 12-2pm.
We will celebrate the new season by learning how to compose, style and photograph an autumnal food board. We will work with in-season produce like apples and arugula as well as local cheese and bread makers' provisions.
Guests will arrive at the historic Satellite space on Auburn Avenue (145 Auburn Ave.) and start the class with a toast of bubbly before diving into a brief photography lesson, followed by hands-on learning. We will talk about how to incorporate lighting, composition, color theory and perspective into how you create a food-image. Bring your DSLR or your smartphone and Lyric will assist with technical questions as well as help guide you towards unlocking your creativity. This class is for beginners, but we accommodate all skill levels. The ticket price will include a glass of bubbly, all the ingredients for your food board, photography and food styling lessons, and an opportunity to sit down to eat your charcuterie with other creatives.
You can purchase a ticket by sending $150 through Venmo (@lyric-lewin) or Zelle (lyriclewin@gmail.com) and leave a note in the memo. There are no refunds for ticket purchases. Thank you!
